[ June 05, 2017 ] Division Bench of the State High Court comprising Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice B.S. Walia allowed a Miscellaneous Application seeking impleadment of Tasaduq Jeelani (KAS) Director Estates J&K Govt. as party respondent in the contempt petition filed by Specially Abled Lawyer Suraj Singh seeking implementation of the Judgment dated March, 6, 2017 whereby the Division Bench headed by then Chief Justice N.Paul Vasanthakumar had directed the Minister Estates, Govt. of J&K to take a decision with regard to providing of Govt. Accommodation to Advocate Suraj Singh in terms of Regulation 4(e) of the J&K Estates Department (Allotment of Government Accommodation) Regulations, 2004.After hearing Advocates S.C. Gupta and Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed appearing for the petitioner Advocate Suraj Singh and Govt. Advocate Ahtsham Bhat appearing for the Estates Department the Division Bench headed by Justice Alok Aradhe allowed the Miscellaneous Application and impleaded Tasaduq Jeelani (KAS) Director Estates J&K Govt. as party respondent in the contempt petition. The Division Bench also issued notice to the newly impleaded respondent and notice on behalf of the Director Estates was accepted in the open court by Govt. Advocate Ahtsham Bhat.The Division Bench also directed Govt. Advocate Ahtsham Bhat to file statement of facts within four weeks and further directed the Registry to list this contempt petition immediately after four weeks.
