Special Session 2017: Arrangements for parking of vehicles

[ June 15, 2017 ] The Special Session of the J&K Legislature is commencing on the 17.06.2017. During this period, there is likelihood of a manifold increase in the number of vehicles entering the Civil Secretariat premises. Regulation of those vehicle would be necessary to avoid inconvenience to the persons visiting the Secretariat during the course of the Session.The following guidelines are, accordingly, issued for strict adherence by the all concerned:-The vehicles of Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Speaker, Speaker/Deputy Speaker, Legislative Assembly and Chairman/Deputy Chairman Legislative Council, ex-Chief Minister shall be parked in front of the main entrance gate of the Assembly Complex;the vehicles of the Cabinet Ministers/Minister of State, Chief Secretary and Director General of Police shall be parked in the space earmarked by the SSP (Security) Civil Secretariat on right side of the Assembly Complex;the vehicles of the Hon"ble Legislators (MLAs/MLCs) shall be parked in the bus parking area;the vehicles of the staff associated with the print/electronic media and those of the Assembly/Council staff shall be parked in the space available on the rear side of the Assembly;all the escort vehicles shall be parked in front of Kashmir Haat ( Exhibition Complex);during the Special Session, no private vehicle belonging to the officers/officials and other employees shall be allowed to enter the Secretariat premises. However, such vehicles, with the valid car pass issued by the SSP (Security), Civil Secretariat, can be parked in the area specified by the Srinagar Development Authority in the parking area (erstwhile Khalsa School), which shall be free of cost.The Managing Director, J& K State Road Transport Corporation, shall ensure that the buses ferrying the employees of the Civil Secretariat are parked elsewhere in consultation with the Traffic authorities.All the officers/officials of the Civil Secretariat are enjoined upon to extend full support and cooperation to the Senior Superintendent of Police (Security), Civil Secretariat/SSP (Traffic) in regulating the movement/parking of vehicles.All the Administrative Secretaries are requested kindly to bring these instructions to the notice of all the employees of their respective departments.
