All Govt employees to make voluntary contributions towards RCS, J&K

[ July 04, 2017 ] Vide Circular No. 47-GAD of 2009 dated 19-11-2009 all the employees of the State Government have been enjoined upon to make voluntary contributions towards Red Cross Society, J&K. As per laid down procedure, the Government Employees are to make fixed minimum contributions by way of deductions from the salary in the month of January every year. The procedure for collection of contributions from the employees at the District, Divisional and Administration Secretariat level and its remittance to the Society has also been elucidated in the Circular No. 47-GAD of 2009 dated 19-11-2009 read with circular No. 35-GAD of 2011dated 16-12-2011.During the 174th meeting of the State Managing Committee of Indian Red Cross Society J&K, it was decided that the instructions to the concerned be issued for implementation of the decision taken by the Sub Committee regarding voluntary contribution by the State Government Employees towards the Indian Red Cross Society Fund.In view of the above, it is enjoined upon all employees of the State Government to make minimum voluntary contributions to the Red Cross Society, J&K. Besides, all the Drawing and Disbursing Officers are also exhorted to encourage the employees to make generous contributions and remit it to the designated offices for onward transfer to the Red Cross Society in terms of Circular No. 47-GAD of 2009 dated 19-11-2009.
