No need for mediator to settle Kashmir issue

[ July 21, 2017 ] Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah today triggered yet another controversy when he said that India should approach other countries such as the United States and China to mediate in the Kashmir issue. Abdullah said India has so many allies across the globe, who can be approached for settling the Kashmir issue to act as a mediator between India and Pakistan. This is not the first time that he has issued such a controversial remark. On November, 2015, Farooq Abdullah taunted the government saying Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is not a personal property to be inherited. He questioned India"s claim on PoK and said that it isn"t its paternal property. "Kya yeh tumare baap ka hai (Is this your fathers" property)," Abdullah said.On December, 2016, Farooq Abdullah triggered a controversy by asking the Hurriyat to unite for the cause of Kashmir and that his party was with them in it. He said, "I ask these Hurriyat leaders to unite. We are standing by your side at this hour. Don"t think of us as your adversaries. We are not your adversaries." He then went on to address his party workers saying, "Don"t stay behind in this struggle of Kashmir"Mr. Farooq Abdullah must understand that there is no need for any meditation as India time and again reiterated that Kashmir is an integral part of India and will remain so. This is justified also as Pakistan has neither never ever any stake on Kashmir neither one which is with India nor other one which is illegally under its occupation i.e. Pakistan occupied Kashmir (Pok). Dr. Farooq Abdullah went one step ahead by suggesting seeking help from friends to resolve the Kashmir issue but unfortunately the true friends of India have already refused to interfere into the Kashmir issue. Surprisingly the friends Dr. Farooq Abdullah claiming are China and Pakistan which have always been hostile towards India from the day one. It is advisable on part of politician like Farooq Abdullah to go with Indian stand as nation always comes first than politics. Farooq Abdullah needs to understand that India has never shied away from dialogue with Pakistan, but talks and terror can’t go hand in hand. Kashmir is our internal matter and anyone trying to interfere will not change that reality. Farooq Abdullah wanted a dialogue with those countries that covets the territory of others , the countries that uses terrorism as state policy towards that misguided end , the countries that acclaim the virtues of terrorists and that provides sanctuary to UN-designated terrorists . Kashmir is an internal matter of our country and no one else has anything to do with it. India has to express its strong opposition to the $46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC) project, which is the key to Beijing"s ambitious "One-Belt, One-Road" initiative instead of making friendly relations with China . The CPEC passing through Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir challenges Indian sovereignty. We, are competent enough to solve our internal matters, there is no need to involve third party or any other country to solve our issues. Farooq Abdulla seriously need to think hundred times before giving these types of statement because it hurts the sentiments of our Army Jawans who are fighting on the borders especially against Pakistan and China.
