Technical Monitoring Committee constituted to review NPBB

[ September 14, 2017 ] J&K Govt vide Govt No. 1164- GAD of 2017 dated 13-9-2017 today accorded sanction to the constitution of Technical Monitoring Committee, comprising the following, to regularly review the implementation of Bovine Breeding Projects in the State under Central Sector Scheme "National Programme for Bovine Breeding and Dairy Development" (NPBBDD), viz. National Programme for Bovine Breeding (NPBB), National Mission for Bovine Productivity (NMBP) and Rashtriya Gokui Mission (RGM):-Administrative Secretary, Animal/Sheep Husbandry & Fisheries Department. Chairman, Jammu 81 Kashmir Milk Producers Cooperative Ltd. Member, Director, Animal Husbandry, 3ammu/Kashmir. Member (s) Representative of Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying 81 Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare, Government of India. Member,Representative from the Central Herd Registration Scheme/Central Cattle Breeding Farms/Central Frozen Semen Production and Training Institute. Member(s) Representative of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (not below the rank of Special Secretary) Member Head of Department, Animal Breeding 81 Genetics, SKUAST, Jammu/Kashmir. Member(s) Chief Executive Officer, Livestock Development Board, Jammu/Kashmir, (Member Convener to be the senior most CEO), Member(s)/ Convener.The terms of reference of the Technical Monitoring Committee shall be to Review the component-wise progress of projects under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission (NPBB and NMBP), Pashu Sanjivni, Field Performance Recording, expansion of Artificial Insemination (Al) Network and the establishment of Gokul Gram with more emphasis; review the performance of Semen Stations, review the performance of AI delivery network with special focus on increasing AI per centre per day. AI coverage and conception rate; review the performance of AI training institutes; review extension activities based on State extension plan; review the performance of Bull Mother Farms/State owned bovine farms; review and resolve issues pertaining to Liquid Nitrogen Delivery system; organize monitoring and evaluation of the projects under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission twice in a year by a team comprising officers of the State and the Central Government; review and resolve issues in respect of project implementation and review the progress made in nominations for the National Gopal Ratna and National Kamdhenu Awards.The Technical Monitoring Committee shall meet in the 2nd week of every quarter and shall be serviced by the Animal/Sheep Husbandry & Fisheries Department.
