2 held with 5 grams heroin, 2 sharp edged weapons & cash Rs. 52000 recovered

[ October 29, 2017 ] Jammu: In continuation to operation Sanjeevani, a special drive against drugs launched by Jammu Police, today Satwari Police achieved a success by apprehending two persons alongwith 5 grams heroin (chitta), two sharp edge weapons and cash Rs. 52000/-.Today Satwari Police laid surprise naka at Hakkal Morh, Chatha-Jammu. During naka checking, Police party signaled one Scooty bearing registration No. JK02BN 2830 for Police check which was coming from Bhour Camp Ward No. 2 towards Satwari. On seeing the Police Scooty rider and pillion rider tried to escape from the spot but the alert Cops apprehended them. On their personal search, police party recovered approx. 5 grams heroin like substance, two sharp edge weapon and cash Rs. 52000/- from their possession. In this regard case FIR No 217/2017 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Satwari and further investigation of the case is going on.The arrest and recovery was made by SHO P/S Satwari Inspr. Manjeet Singh and I/C PP Chatha SI Rohit Kumar Bhagat under the supervision of SDPO City South, Sh. Rafiq Manhas and SP City South Sh. Sandeep Choudhary.
