Major bovine smuggling bid foiled by Nagrota Police

[ September 04, 2018 ] Jammu: Nagrota police today foiled a major bovine smuggling attempt and rescued 71 bovine animals from the clutches of bovine smugglers and arrested 03 bovine smugglers.04 trucks has been seized in this connection. On specific Information, Nagrota Police laid special nakas at different places. Trucks carrying bovine animals illegally to Kashmir Valley were signalled to stop at Ban Toll Plaza for checking, On seeing Police Cops, drivers of trucks tried to fled away and crashed the barriers. They were chased by the alert Police party and successfully apprehended after a brief chase. Three persons namely Arshad All S/0 Talib Hussain RIO Village Ragoora, Mohd Saleem 5/0 Mohd Younas R/O Gole Gujral and Zakir Ali 5/0 Abdul Aziz R/O Sall Kori Majalta have been arrested while others managed to escape under the cover of darkness. Truck bearing registration No"s3K18/1226,3K18/0465, J1(0213P/6685 and JKO4A/9808 have been Seized and case FIR No"s 212/2018 U/S 188/RPC 3/5 PCA Act, 213/2018 U/S 188/RPC 3/5 PCA Act, 214/2018 U/S 188/RPC 3/5 PCA Act 184 M.V Act and 215/2018 U/S 188/RPC 3/5 PCA Act 184 M.V Act has been registered at P/s Nagrota. Police Party led by Insp. Deepak Pathania SHO Nagrota and assisted by ASI Sadiq Hussain, HC Sudesh Parihar, HC Ramesh Kumar, Ct Naeem Shehjad,Ct Jeevan Kumar, Ct Chaman Lal and Ct Mohd Shafi made the arrests/recovery /seizure under the supervision of Sh.Yashbir Singh Slathia SDPO Nagrota, Sh.Dushyant Sharma SP Rural Jammu and Sh. Vivek Gupta IPS SSP Jammu.
