Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Employees Union have threatened to go on pen down strike on if their demands are not conceded by the concerned authorities. In a meeting convened on Sunday 3-9-2023 by Union President Raj Kumar accompanied by Union General Secretary Parshotam Singh; Safai Karamchari Union President Diwan Chand, Parveen Kumar and others alleged harassment of the Shrine Board employees, whose demands are not being conceded. Raj Kumar listing the demands, which include children’s allowance, travelling allowance for employees , transport facility for employees and addressing shortage of man power. He appealed the Lt Governor and new Chairman of the Shrine Board to take cognizance of their grievances and issue necessary orders for fulfilling of their demands. “If our demands are not conceded, we will have no option other than to go on pen-down strike on and the Shrine Board will be responsible for the same,” warned the Union leader.Raj Kumar further said that last month , Union members dated 8-8-2023 had submitted detailed memorandum to CEO, Shrine Board but nearly one month has gone by but nothing has been done in this regard. He appealed CEO Shrine Board to take serious cognizance of union’s demands as they have always given their hundred percent for smooth functioning of Board but when it comes to addressing their genuine demands ,Boards always given them step-motherly treatment.
